1. Overview
Vira Sosyal is a dating and social interaction app provided by Vira Apps, intended exclusively for users aged 18 and over. In the app you can create a profile, discover people around you, match, exchange messages and make video calls. Downloading the app and using its core features is free of charge; optional paid in-app extras such as coins and premium membership are offered (prices include VAT).
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Vira Sosyal, for which purposes we process it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have over your data. The policy covers the Vira Sosyal mobile app and the related web pages at virasosyal.com.
By using the app, you accept the processing of your personal data as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
Account and profile data: Information you provide during registration and while building your profile; your name or username, date of birth/age, gender, profile photos, interests, the texts you write about yourself and your discovery preferences.
Usage data: Information about your activity in the app; likes, matches, message metadata, records of video calls started and ended, and your coin or premium purchase history.
Device and log data: Technical information collected automatically to operate the service and diagnose errors:
- IP address
- Device model and manufacturer
- Operating system and version
- App version and configuration
- Crash records and error reports
- Date and time of use
Location data: With your permission, your approximate location is processed so we can show you profiles nearby (see Section 3).
3. Camera, Microphone and Location
Camera and microphone: During video and voice calls, your camera and microphone are used solely to carry the call. The audio and video streams are transmitted in real time; calls are not recorded by us and are not stored on our servers. Call infrastructure is provided over an encrypted connection through the Agora service listed in Section 5.
Location: Your approximate location is used for the "nearby" discovery feature. Your location is shown to other users only as an approximate distance (for example "4 km away"), never as an exact address.
You can revoke camera, microphone and location permissions at any time in your device's operating system settings. If you turn a permission off, the related features such as video calls or nearby discovery may stop working; you can continue to use the rest of the app.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain and improve the service; to create and manage your account
- To suggest suitable profiles and personalize your matching experience
- Safety and moderation: detecting fake accounts, fraud and rule violations; reviewing reports and complaints
- To verify and manage your purchases (coins, premium)
- To respond to your support requests and communicate with you
- To analyze errors and crashes and improve app stability
- To comply with our legal obligations under applicable law
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data is shared only for the purposes and with the service providers described in this policy.
5. Third-Party Services
Vira Sosyal relies on the following third-party services to operate. These providers may access limited personal data in order to perform their tasks and process it under their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services — Provides core app functionality on Android devices. Privacy policy

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Vira Sosyal mobile app does not use cookies directly. However, third-party SDKs embedded in the app (such as analytics and notification services) may use device identifiers and unique IDs that work in a similar way to cookies. These identifiers are processed to run the services and produce usage statistics.
Our website at virasosyal.com may use a limited set of cookies for essential purposes such as keeping your session and remembering your preferences. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you do, some parts of the site may not work as expected.
7. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Once the purpose no longer applies, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.
You can permanently delete your account in two ways:
- In the app: using the account deletion option in the Settings menu
- On the web: via the account deletion page at virasosyal.com/delete_account.php
When you delete your account, your profile, photos, matches and messages are removed from our active systems and become invisible to other users. Certain records may be retained for a limited period permitted by law in order to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent abuse, and are deleted when that period ends.
8. Data Security
We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS
- Access to data is limited to authorized personnel who need it for their role
- Our systems are monitored and updated regularly
That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We make every reasonable effort to protect your data and, in the event of a security breach, will provide the notifications required by law.
9. Your Rights — KVKK and GDPR
Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed
- Request information about the processing, if any
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose
- Know the third parties to whom your data is transferred
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Request deletion or destruction of your data in accordance with the law
- Request that corrections and deletions be notified to third parties who received the data
- Object to a result arising against you from analysis by automated systems
- Claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing
If you are located in the European Union, you additionally have the rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to access, rectify and erase your data, restrict processing, data portability and objection to processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Age Limit and Protection of Minors
Vira Sosyal is intended exclusively for users aged 18 and over. Persons under 18 are not permitted to use the app or create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
If we determine that a user is under 18, we close the account and delete the related personal data from our systems. If you become aware of a user under 18, please notify us at Contact.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top is revised accordingly. We may additionally announce significant changes through in-app notifications or similar means. We recommend reviewing this page regularly to stay informed of any changes.
